About Ipswich Kindergarten

Since 1937, Ipswich Kindergarten has created a proud history of tradition and close ties between the home, kindergarten and the Ipswich community. We aim to facilitate and scaffold learning in an environment in which children are supported, respected, stimulated and encouraged through authentic, challenging and engaging learning experiences.

The program at Ipswich Kindergarten promotes learning through a play and inquiry based curriculum, encompassing learning experiences and interactions which are both emergent and planned. Our curriculum is informed by the Early Years Learning Framework and Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines. Ipswich Kindergarten operates under the National Quality Framework (NQF) which incorporates the Education and Care Services National Law Act (2010), Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011) and National Quality Standard.

The Gowrie (Qld) Inc

The Ipswich Kindergarten Association is a non-profit, non-denominational community organisation which has been incorporated and is affiliated with The Gowrie (Qld) Inc. We receive ongoing support from The Gowrie (Qld) Inc in the form of an Early Childhood Education Consultant, who assists us to strive towards providing the highest standard in education to our children.

The Gowrie (Qld) Inc is a non-profit, early childhood organisation and a member of the national consortium, Gowrie Australia. Established in 1940 as a demonstration children’s centre by the Australian Government, Gowrie Queensland has grown to encompass ten campuses and thirteen children’s programs.

Through the dedication of staff and the commitment to best practice in children’s services, these programs provide a benchmark standard quality of care and education which is widely recognise throughout Australia.
